TRANSMISSION DIPSTICK

Minor imperfections in the variety of engine block castings can sometimes lead to a misalignment of the bolt hole in the bracket and the tapped hole in the engine block. This adjustable bracket eliminates this problem.

Fits: Cadillac, Chevy, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, GMC, and buick. GM TURBO 350 or 400 27" Length or GM TURBO 350 or 400 69, 2 cm Length.

Installation Instructions:

1. Remove stock dipstick and dipstick tube.
2. Clean area where dipstick tube meets transmission.
3. Remove new dipstick from new dipstick tube. Install bracket by sliding it on from top of tube.
4. Apply a small amount of RTV just below the beaded area on dipstick tube.
5. Apply a small amount of engine oil to O-ring seal on transmission dipstick tube. Insert dipstick tube into transmission.
6. Secure dipstick tube to engine block with factory bolt and adjustable bracket. Insert new dipstick. *On some applications the transmission fluid level will be above the base of the dipstick. You may want to drain the level of fluid to avoid spills. This is a good opportunity to install a Drain Plug Kit or a new Transmission Pan.

Gold Irridite finish will not flake off the stick like chrome. Stick Markings match the original equipment manufacturer's for true accuracy.
